The course is designed for children aged 5 to 17 and is suitable for students of all proficiency levels. The program incorporates skits and activities themed around traditional daily life, exploring aspects of work, leisure, and material culture. Students engage in discussions about customs, traditions, and non-material culture, supported by oral folklore, such as proverbs, sayings, songs, stories, and games. Adapted literary materials, including poems and songs, are also used to enhance the learning experience.
This program is tailored for “heritage speakers” of Russian—students who learned the language as children but may have little or no formal training in reading and writing.
